Overweight and incorrectly loaded wagons are not only a safety risk, but also cause premature wear on the rail network. This in turn leads to a shortened service life of the track systems and thus increases the maintenance costs of the rail network.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The <strong>HE-Point rail vehicle scale<\/strong> is an advanced checkweigher and automatically monitors wagon weights and loads. It can be easily installed without foundations and without separating the rail track. The measuring sensors are located in the rail track.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The weighing terminal and a PC with our <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/waagen-visser.de\/en\/essmann-weighing-software-ewp\/\">EWP evaluation software<\/a><\/strong> can be located either in a protective room on the track or in a control center, for example in the signal box. In both cases, the Point rail vehicle scales function as a fully automatic control system. It warns immediately in the event of overweight or incorrect loading.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The system automatically recognizes locomotive and wagon data. It determines the weight of wheels, axles, bogies, locomotives and their 2-, 4-, 6- or 8-axle wagons. It also determines the total weight and speed of train sets.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The system also compares weights between two axles or bogies to detect uneven loading along the longitudinal axis of the wagons. The system serves as a non-verifiable checkweigher.<br\/>Force sensors (protection class IP68) are installed directly in the rail track of the track system to determine the weight. The force sensors are protected against external mechanical influences by a protective cover. The measuring cables of the load cells are combined in a terminal box for each rail. Alarm messages about overweight or incorrectly loaded wagons appear automatically on the screen and are printed out. They can also be sent automatically as an e-mail to the control room or by SMS to a cell phone, e.g. to the locomotive.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Our <a href=\"https:\/\/waagen-visser.de\/ewp-waegesoftware\">EWP weighing software<\/a>, which runs on a standard PC or server, is state of the art software technology. The graphical user interface makes it very easy to use and offers standardized data communication with other programs. In conjunction with our TRANS-IT (transponder technology) or NUMBERCheck (video technology) wagon identification systems, the system can also be used to monitor wagon movements in relation to customers and products.
